About the Role:

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Dental Assistant located in Melbourne, VIC. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for preparing and assisting with dental procedures, maintaining sterilization standards, and ensuring patient care and comfort. Additional responsibilities include supporting the practice's daily operations, collaborating with the dental team, and upholding high standards of oral care.

Primary location: South Yarra - your main clinic (just minutes from the train station)

Occasional coverage: Hawthorn and Berwick - occasional travel required (eg: to cover annual leave or staff absence)

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Dental Assisting, including assisting with various orthodontic and dental procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Dental Care, Dentistry, and Oral Care practices
  • Experience with Sterilisation processes and maintaining infection control protocols
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Professionalism and a patient-focused approach
  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (Required)
  • Previous experience in orthodontics or a related field is a plus

The Finer Details:

  • We are looking to hire on a part time basis - 2 days per week (Monday and Thursday)
  • 8.00am until 5.15pm with a paid 10 minute morning tea break, and a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
  • Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience
  • Clear progression path toward Clinical Supervisor responsibilities
