Oral Health Victoria (formerly Dental Health Services Victoria) is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria. About the role:
The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne has a rare opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join us to work in our Specialist Care Department.
This is a great opportunity to gain skills in Specialist Care and to work and learn from other highly experienced Dental Assistants and Coaches, with the support of our amazing Team Leader in Specialist Care.
You will get to work within a diverse organisation. We recognise that our Dental Assistants are critical to the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and effective clinical care.
Your responsibilities include:
- Clinical Chair-side assisting with a Dentist or Specialist on the ward.
- Providing oral health education and promotion to our patients.
- Preparing, maintaining, and managing the clinical environment, including equipment, materials, and instruments, in line with the treatment plan, to enhance efficient patient care.

You will have:
- Ideally, 3+ years of experience working chair-side assisting.
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
