The DCCEEW Planning, Offsets and Threatened Species (POTSE) is currently seeking to appoint a Assistant Project Officer.
The Assistant Project Officer supports POTSE Division by undertaking day to day tasks relating to the coordination and delivery of regional conservation programs through engaging and supporting landholders to enter into voluntary biodiversity stewardship agreements.
About You
You are an enthusiastic and motivated emerging ecologist with knowledge of terrestrial ecology and ecological survey methods, and a willingness to build skills in fieldwork, data management and biodiversity reporting. You enjoy working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and can engage confidently with landholders, stakeholders, and colleagues to support conservation outcomes.
Essential requirements
- Current Driver's License.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote field locations
- Knowledge of terrestrial ecology and ecological survey methods
