About Us

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Floor Supervisor to help lead our front-of-house team in a fast-paced, authentic Japanese restaurant. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering excellent customer experiences, and supporting management in maintaining high standards of service, presentation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations during dinner service, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Lead, motivate, and support FOH staff during busy shifts.
  • Manage reservations, table allocation, and waitlists effectively to maximise turnover and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and coach team members in service etiquette, product knowledge, and Japanese dining culture.
  • Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure clear communication and timely service.
  • Handle customer feedback, resolve complaints professionally, and escalate issues where needed.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures (end of day reports, cleanliness checks).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, RSA, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in service flow and team efficiency.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisor or team leader role within a busy restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and dining etiquette (prior Japanese restaurant experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to lead with calm authority under pressure.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced setting.
  • Current RSA.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
  • Reliable, proactive, and passionate about hospitality and customer experience.
