Why You'll Love This Role

We're looking for a Patient Services Officer – Billing who's passionate about helping people while keeping billing processes running smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the go-to person for patient billing enquiries, ensuring accuracy, empathy, and efficiency in everything you do. A part of your role will be managing debt collection and invoicing activities with professionalism, care and empathy.

This is a part-time role (10AM -3pm) Monday to Friday, offering school-friendly hours and a supportive, collaborative team environment, perfect for someone looking to balance career growth with family life.

What You'll Be Doing


• Billing & Invoicing: Process invoices and payments accurately for our remote monitoring services.


• Patient Support: Handle patient queries regarding billing with compassionate, solution-focused communication.


• Medicare Claims: Prepare and submit Medicare claims promptly and accurately.


• Debt Collection: Proactively follow up on overdue accounts using empathetic negotiation and conflict resolution skills to secure successful outcomes.


• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate patient billing records and update consents as needed.


• System Management: Use and Stripe to track, manage, and streamline billing workflows.

What We're Looking For


• Proven Experience in billing, accounts, debt collection, or a related role (healthcare experience a bonus but not essential).


• Empathy & Communication Skills — you can manage sensitive conversations confidently while remaining patient-focused.


• Problem-Solving Mindset — you're proactive, resourceful, and solutions-driven.


• Tech-Savvy — comfortable learning billing platforms and ideally familiar with and Stripe (training provided if needed).


• Organised & Independent — able to manage your time effectively while thriving in a supportive team environment.
