The Role

As a Kitchen Steward, you'll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and safely. Working alongside chefs, volunteers, and trainees, you'll help maintain a clean, efficient, and positive environment that supports both great food and great people.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Operating commercial dishwashers and cleaning kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment.
  • Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards across all kitchen areas.
  • Supporting kitchen teams by keeping workstations clean, tidy, and organised.
  • Managing waste, recycling, and general back-of-house cleaning responsibly.
  • Performing physical and repetitive tasks such as lifting, walking, washing, and scrubbing.
  • Assisting with deliveries, stock movement, and storage as needed.

About You

We're looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented — someone who understands that their efforts behind the scenes make a real difference on the front line.

You'll bring:

  • Physical fitness and the ability to stay on your feet for extended periods.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, or kitchen work (preferred).
  • A positive attitude and a strong sense of teamwork.
  • The ability to take direction and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to hygiene, safety, and respect for all people and spaces.
