About the Role

As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Kitchen operations run smoothly and that all culinary and organisational standards are maintained at all times.

Working in a team, you will support the Chef de Partie; Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

Job Description

• Operate commercial dishwashers and other industrial cleaning equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and benches ensuring all garbage is removed and equipment is correctly stored
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards and safe work practices at all times
• Prepare the equipment required for functions (BBQs, Chafing Dishes, plates etc)
• Assist the chefs with general kitchen duties

Job Requirements

• Be flexible and available to work a rotating 7-day roster, including AM and PM shifts and Public Holidays
• Have proven experience in fast paced commercial kitchens environment
• Have a good understanding of the safety elements associated with the job
• Have a good understanding of cleaning chemicals and their correct and safe handling
• Own transport

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $24.95 – $38.06 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
