**The Role**

As a **Kitchen Steward**, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and safely. Working alongside chefs, volunteers, and trainees, you’ll help maintain a clean, efficient, and positive environment that supports both great food and great people.

**Your day-to-day will include**:

- Operating commercial dishwashers and cleaning kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment.
- Maintaining **strict hygiene and food safety standards** across all kitchen areas.
- Supporting kitchen teams by keeping workstations **clean, tidy, and organised**.
- Managing **waste, recycling, and general back-of-house cleaning** responsibly.
- Performing **physical and repetitive tasks** such as lifting, walking, washing, and scrubbing.
- Assisting with **deliveries, stock movement, and storage** as needed.

**About You**

We’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented — someone who understands that their efforts behind the scenes make a real difference on the front line.

**You’ll bring**:

- Previous experience in **hospitality, cleaning, or kitchen work** (preferred).

**Job Types**: Part-time, Subcontract, Casual, Freelance, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $24.95 - $38.28 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
