The Child Development Service within the Women's and Children's Service Group provides diagnostic and early intervention support for children with complex developmental needs. About your opportunityAs an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker (Identified), you will play a vital role in supporting families through the diagnostic process for children with complex developmental needs. You will provide culturally appropriate education, advocacy, and linkage to community supports, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes.
Requirements- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, this is an Identified position requiring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
- Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.1 to HWF3.5 requires:
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health
- Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.2 to HWF3.7, or HWF3.8 (limited to employees who meet the requirements of HED 04/23) requires:
- Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
- Current C Class Driver Licence.
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Evidence of vaccination or immunity for VPDs as per Queensland Health policy.
- A probationary period may apply.
