Porter Plant, a trusted leader in the Plant and Equipment Hire industry, is offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and skilled Field Service Mechanic to join their team servicing clients situated across Northern Tasmania. Working autonomously on breakdowns and preventative maintenance of assets your day is scheduled by our Tasmanian Field service Coordinator. Here's a summary of the key points for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Perform effective fault diagnosis on various equipment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ensure workmanship adheres to compliance and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with coordinators and managers regarding work status.
  • Experience in servicing both passenger and heavy vehicles.

What You'll Need:

  • Heavy Mechanical trade qualification (essential).
  • Valid car license (HR & forklift license desirable).
  • Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised.
