Job Description
Due to our rapid growth, we are currently seeking a senior internal sales engineer to join our team in NSW (Seven Hills). This role focuses on promoting and supporting our process instrumentation product portfolio, including pressure and level transmitters, flow sensors, valves, rupture disc, relief valve, flame arresters and more. You will also be actively supporting customers in the chemical, process, water, oil and gas and manufacturing sectors.
You will play a pivotal role in driving technical sales, supporting customers with engineered solutions, and growing our footprint across Australia. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced instrumentation technologies and high-value industrial clients while receiving full product and applications training from our technical specialists.
To excel in this position, you'll need an inquisitive mindset coupled with strong technical prowess and communication skills. Your ability to convey technical concepts clearly to prospective clients will be crucial. We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with a results-driven approach, capable of thriving in a collaborative environment. You will also need to be a self-starter, problem solver and growth seeking professional. A background in mechanical / process engineering would give you suitable foundations for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run end-to-end internal sales process for process instrumentation portfolio
o Qualifying incoming leads, closing sales and achieving sales target.
o Understanding customers' needs, solving customers questions and identifying sales opportunities.
o Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical documentation for engineered systems.
o Manage and grow existing customer relationships while developing new business opportunities within the process industry.
Collaborate with field sales and engineering teams to deliver best-in-class customer support and after-sales service.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry standards, trends, and competitor offerings.
Maintain relationship with process instrumentation principals (vendors)
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years experience in sales role in process instrumentation, such as valves, pressure/level transmitters, and flow meters/sensors.
Solid technical understanding of fluid mechanics, material properties, and pressure vessel design (AS 1210 standard).
Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical / Process Engineering.
Must be located in Sydney or Melbourne
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, consultants, and industrial clients.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a customer-focused approach.
Full work authorization in Australia
Experience in process automation, water/wastewater, or chemical processing industries.
Familiarity with process instrumentation brands such as Rosemount, Endress+Hauser, WIKA, Yokogawa or Honeywell is an advantage.
