Our Client is a well-established, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company with a range of well-known confectionery and snack brands across Australia and New Zealand.

We're looking for an organised and customer-focused Customer Service Officer to join the Sydney-based team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage customer orders, enquiries, and feedback, working closely with teams across production, logistics, QA, and purchasing to ensure a smooth and professional service experience.

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (office-based)
  • Initial Focus: Keying alphanumeric orders
  • Progression: You'll be gradually trained across all areas of customer service — supporting multiple brands, providing reception cover, and managing consumer complaints as you grow into the role.
  • Availability: Must be available to work over the Christmas period (excluding public holidays and Wednesday, December 24)
  • Note: Full-time, ongoing role — not suited to Student Visa or Working Holiday Visa holders

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer and consumer enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Process orders, credits, and QA complaints accurately and on time
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Manage bookings, freight follow-ups, and special delivery arrangements
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with reports and general admin tasks
  • Provide reception relief when required

What You'll Bring

  • At least 2 years' experience in a customer service role (ideally within FMCG or supply chain)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience with QAD or similar ERP system (preferred)
  • A proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills
