Description:

Meadows Uniting Church is a small but thriving community of faith, located in the growing country town of Meadows on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. Over the past few years, we've experienced significant growth in attendance, particularly among young families.

To support and nurture this growth, we are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our team as a Children and Family Pastoral Coordinator. This part-time role will help establish a vibrant children's ministry for primary school-aged children and younger, while also providing pastoral support to families in collaboration with existing church structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the children's ministry within the church community.
  • Develop structures for ministry and volunteer engagement.
  • Provide strategic input and vision alongside the Church Council.
  • Offer pastoral care and support to families.
  • Participate actively in the life of the church.
  • Attend monthly leadership meetings.
  • Work alongside the pastor and Church Council.

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Deeply committed to Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, with a life marked by the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).
  • Passionate about seeing children grow in faith and become disciples of Jesus.
  • Enthusiastic about people and local church life.
  • Spiritually grounded, with a strong personal devotional life.
  • Skilled in pastoral care and ministry leadership.
  • Organised and self-motivated, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Capable of leading and equipping volunteers.
  • Willing to be involved in the broader Meadows Uniting Church community.
  • Available to work Sunday mornings, with flexibility for other hours.
