ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Client Manager to join our Client Delivery Chapter, based in Melbourne. Reporting into an Account Director, this pivotal role is accountable for managing Hogarth's relationship with a world-leading beauty conglomerate, encompassing a diverse portfolio of 37 iconic brands across makeup, cosmetics, skincare, and haircare.

With an initial focus on nurturing established relationships within key brand divisions (Brand Leads to Senior Marketing Managers), you will act as a primary point of contact, collaborating closely with internal senior team members and relevant Hogarth global teams. Your remit will expand to strategically manage these broad group relationships, driving collaborative initiatives across multiple divisions and brands to ensure our services consistently meet the evolving needs of this dynamic and influential client.

This role requires assisting in providing strategic advice, consultation, and account planning. You will adopt a consultative approach, deeply understanding our clients' core objectives, pain points, and business needs to effectively drive the partnership forward, while contributing to content and production roadmaps, forecasting, and planning.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Client Manager, your core responsibilities will be centered on strategic client partnership and cultivating robust relationships. With the support of the Account Director, you will act as the primary point of contact for a world-leading beauty conglomerate, building and nurturing trusted connections with key client contacts (from Brand Leads to Senior Marketing Managers). This involves confidently networking, engaging both externally and internally with local and global Hogarth teams, and embodying our company culture.

Crucially, you will function as a 'Problem Detective,' deeply understanding clients' current and future content needs to provide strategic advice and consulting, helping them stay ahead of the curve. You'll leverage Hogarth's local and global specialist expertise, confidently communicate our business proposition, and proactively contribute to creative output and innovative solutions, ensuring clients recognize the tangible value you bring to their business.

Beyond relationship and strategy, you will deliver operational excellence and astute financial management. This includes contributing to the implementation of efficient and effective delivery processes, overseeing day-to-day project decisions (such as estimates, schedules, and resourcing), and actively identifying opportunities for operational improvement. You will ensure timely responses to client inquiries and escalations, manage regular Client WIP meetings, and support the identification and allocation of specialist capabilities to overcome project challenges.

From a commercial perspective, you will assist in identifying and unlocking revenue growth opportunities across your client portfolio, collaborate on optimising utilisation levels and profit margins, manage client-specific write-offs, and adhere strictly to Hogarth's financial policies, supporting business plan creation and budget understanding.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role (e.g., Client Manager, Account Manager, Relationship Manager) with a track record of effective stakeholder management.
  • A dynamic, action-oriented approach with a solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to lead, contribute, and constructively challenge.
  • Operational awareness and a solid understanding of the content production process.
  • A consultative approach, with the ability to deeply understand client needs, pain points, and business objectives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to walk the corridors of our clients and build rapport.
  • The capability to support future-focused workstreams by engaging relevant specialists.
  • Curiosity about client businesses and a drive to find innovative solutions.
  • Experience or strong interest in the beauty, cosmetics, or luxury brand sector is a significant plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and connect with local and global counterparts.
