Bringelly Public School is a semi-rural school in Southwest Sydney, proud of its 145-year history. Guided by our motto, "Together We Grow," we provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. The school has a current enrolment of 112 students and is expected to grow within the next few years.
We are dedicated to environmental education, boasting an extensive outdoor learning space. Our protected woodland and wetland areas, safeguarded under the Environment and Heritage Act, further enrich students' connection to nature. The school's heritage is deeply valued, with the original 1897 classroom and schoolhouse serving as lasting links to our past.
Bringelly Public School is part of the Macarthur School Network. Our diverse school community fosters a harmonious atmosphere, with 33% of students coming from language backgrounds other than English and 17 students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school has a committed and hard - working P&C which complements the educational and cultural experiences at the school and beyond.
We are committed to raising student expectations and aspirations in literacy and numeracy through data-driven interventions and continuous progress monitoring. We set high academic standards for all students by making informed teaching decisions and maintaining a strong consultative approach with parents.
Through an in-depth situational analysis—developed in collaboration with staff, students, parents, community members, and the AECG, we have identified the need for further curriculum differentiation and explicit teaching methods. This ensures tailored learning experiences, including additional support or enrichment, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
At Bringelly Public School, we embrace the complexities of teaching, leading, and learning in today's VUCA (Volatile, Unpredictable, Complex and Ambiguous) world. Our educators and leaders are committed to creating a high-quality learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students, teachers, administrators, support staff, parents, and carers.
