SuniTAFE is seeking a passionate and strategic Project Officer to join our International Students Unit at the Mildura campus. This part-time, fixed-term role—funded by the Victorian Government focuses on building a transnational education (TNE) model that fits SuniTAFE's strengths and resources. You'll work across departments to identify opportunities, streamline operations, and develop new education products that meet the needs of international partners.
Reporting to the International Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in creating standardised programs for global markets such as China, while also exploring short-term inbound study tours and international cohort delivery. If you're an organised, purpose driven and excited to expand global learning opportunities, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop a transnational education model and framework for SuniTAFE to deliver commercially viable and sustainable programs offshore.
- Document SuniTAFE's transnational education policy and procedures.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement to streamline TNE activities.
- Collaborate with Student Administration, IT and education delivery areas for alignment of organisational systems and processes.
- Develop and cost a suite of standardised programs for inbound study tours and offshore delivery around key delivery areas and/or micro-credentials.
- Participate in, and contribute to, the Delivery Working Party for the Yes to International Student Fund projects.
- Prepare progress reports for grant funding.
- Prepare case studies of TNE programs for marketing purposes.
- Other international business development activities as relevant

Key selection criteria
- Experience in managing projects or implementing government grants.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others across different teams to achieve outcomes of the project.
- Ability to research issues, identify innovative solutions, and produce high level documentation to support findings.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and document policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, written and presentation skills, and emotional intelligence.
- Available to work on site at the Mildura campus.
- A commitment and ability to produce a high standard of work, including accuracy and an eye for detail.
- An ability to learn on the job, and to strive for continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A successful criminal record check which is less than 6 months old
- A working with children check.
