Certifications Officer / Pressure Vessel Inspector
South West Compressors is a rapidly growing, values-driven business specialising in compressed air systems, pressure equipment, and industrial services across Western Australia. We are expanding our Inspections & Certifications Division and are seeking an experienced Certifications Officer / Pressure Vessel Inspector to take ownership of this function and help grow it into a high-performing department.
This is a senior, trusted role reporting directly to the Director, with real autonomy, growth potential, and performance-based incentives.
About the Role
This position is responsible for all inspection, certification, and compliance activities relating to pressure vessels and other regulated equipment, while also playing a key role in business development, capital equipment sales, and departmental growth.
You will:
Lead and operate the SWC Inspections & Certifications function
Conduct pressure vessel inspections and statutory certifications
Inspect other regulated equipment (including vehicle hoists, hydraulic systems, and tools) where qualified to do so
Build and improve inspection policies, procedures, and asset registers
Acquire new inspection and certification clients
Oversee installations, commissioning, compliance reporting, and asset registration
Act as a professional ambassador for South West Compressors on client sites
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly organised, technically competent, and commercially minded inspector who takes pride in compliance, accuracy, and customer service.
Minimum 1-2 years of pressure vessel inspection experience is required for this position.
Essential:
Pressure Vessel Inspection qualification (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
AS 3788 Level 1 pressure vessel inspection qualification is specifically required.
Current C-Class Driver's Licence
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards relating to pressure equipment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer focus and professional presentation
Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Australian citizenship is required for this role.

You'll also receive:
$100,000 per annum + super
Fuel card and company vehicle for business use
Weekly pay cycle
Rostered day off every second Friday

Work Conditions
Standard hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Some travel and overnight stays required
Travel and overnight stays will be required on an occasional basis, typically monthly.
Occasional overtime, weekend, or public holiday work (paid accordingly)
