About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced finance professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for process? We're seeking a dedicated professional to take full ownership of our accounts payable function in a standalone role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on autonomy and enjoys being the go-to person for all things AP.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all transactions. You'll also provide support across other finance functions, but your primary focus will be on maintaining a smooth and efficient AP operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the accounts' payable function, including invoice processing, purchase order compliance, and batch payments via online banking
  • Maintain accurate ledger balances and ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts and company credit cards
  • Review and assist with staff expense claims
  • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries
  • Support audits, FBT preparation, and other finance-related matters
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance team
  • Assist with accounts receivable and reporting tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller on payment runs and broader finance operations
  • Perform other finance duties as required

About You

  • Extensive experience in accounts payable, ideally in a standalone capacity
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is highly desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • A proactive, adaptable team player who enjoys working independently
