The role

A fixed termpart time position (0.6 FTE) is now available for a Humanities, Psychology & Christian Studies Teacher. Commencement January 2026 until end of school year

The successful candidate will have:

• the desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised

• relevant qualifications with VIT registration and commitment to professional learning
• proven record of field-work experience and/or relevant tertiary qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students' skills to design a flexible, personalised Humanities, Psychology & Christian Studies curriculum that addresses their unique needs and goals.
• Continuously improve teaching strategies and activities by integrating student feedback and assessment data to refine lesson plans and delivery.
• Create student-centred activities that encourage exploration and innovation in product design, fostering the practical application of theoretical concepts.
• Establish high expectations to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment, promoting creativity and problem-solving.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience teaching Humanities, Psychology & Christian Studies to students in Years 7-10
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering both academic and personal growth in students.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex design concepts and engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Dedicated to ongoing professional development, staying current with trends in Humanities, Psychology & PE and maintaining a proactive approach to teaching.
