Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Officer to join our Gold Coast pathology team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry
  • Specimen reception
  • Analysis of specimens
  • Test reporting and validation where required
  • Reporting urgent and abnormal results to relevant clinicians
  • Participating in routine testing in Biochemistry, Haematology and Stat Microbiology disciplines
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain meticulous records of laboratory procedures and ensure adherence to all laboratory safety and quality standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science/ Biomedical Science, or Diploma in Pathology testing or a related field.
  • Certificate III in Pathology Collection highly desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as required.
