*Financial Controller At Goodman:*
The role sits within the Australian Finance team, working closely with the Head of Finance – Australia, and involves managing a dedicated team of accountants. This position is pivotal in overseeing the management and financial reporting, ensuring tax compliance, and handling the capital management components of the Goodman Australia Industrial Partnership (GAIP) and its Joint Ventures, Goodman Group's largest Partnership. This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity and operational excellence of GAIP, contributing to its continued success and growth.

*Day To Day:*

  • Management Reporting and Ledger Control: Oversee month-end preparations, including fee calculations, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly results review.
  • Statutory Reporting and Financial Compliance: Lead the preparation of half-annual and annual financial statements and manage the external audit process.
  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure trust distribution models, distribution statements, and payments are prepared quarterly.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the Investment Management, Property and Development teams to prepare accurate and timely budgets and forecasts.
  • Treasury, Capital, and Financial Risk Management: Ensure daily bank reconciliations, manage cash flow forecast models and participate in capital management activities.
  • Team and Business Leadership: Lead the Finance team to deliver core objectives while adhering to the Finance Team Charter.
  • Technology Initiatives: Engage with the Technology Centre of Excellence team for Finance initiatives, including automated reporting and forecasting tools.
  • Operational Finance: Support commercial and legal teams in structuring and advising on transactions.

*Knowledge, Experience, And Skill Requirements:*

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CA/CPA qualified.
  • Strong leadership skills, experience managing teams.
  • Experience: At least 8-10 years in an accounting role within a large and complex business, preferably within the property industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing demands with a high level of proactivity and self-motivation.
