An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controller with a fast-growing scale up technology business. The role is responsible for managing the Group's financial and accounting operations across Australia and the UK whilst demonstrating the ability to develop excellent relationships with senior executives. The position will serve as a key business partner providing critical financial information on the operating performance and financial results of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the finance function (circa 15 staff) across financial control, operations, and projects.
- Prepare consolidated accounts for 12 entities in collaboration with local and international teams.
- Prepare board packs and provide clear commentary on financial performance.
- Manage statutory audits and produce annual financial statements.
- Oversee management reporting packs for budget owners.
- Manage fixed assets, calculating and recording depreciation.
- Manage all FX transactions and revaluations ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements.
- Manage company cash flow and ensure robust treasury controls.
- Deliver process improvements and system enhancements.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CA qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with strong financial control expertise.
- Experience in scale-up or high-growth environment.
- Experience in a group level role preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Experience managing fixed assets and lease accounting, including recognition, depreciation & lease obligations (highly desirable)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team fostering high performance.
