We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a fast growing tech start up based in Sydney CBD. Reporting to the CFO this role will manage a small team and take ownership of group consolidated reporting, FP&A, Audit, and business insights. The role will also support the business through IPO and M&A integration's in late 2026. This hands on role offers an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety duties as the company looks to acquire other organisations and IPO in the next 18 months. As such they require a flexible, committed candidate who is looking to grow.

The ideal candidate have experience in a fast growing SME managing the end to end finance function and supporting the investment/growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and insights for CFO and owner
  • Ensure internal and external financial reporting integrity and accuracy
  • Develop reporting and controls ready for IPO
  • Partner with the CFO and CEO on various projects
  • Monthly reporting and financial board reporting as required
  • Tax and regulatory compliance
  • Integration of newly acquired businesses

Candidate Profile

  • CA/CPA qualified (with varied experience in SME organisations)
  • Experience preparing end to end accounts
  • Passionate about learning and not afraid to get there hands dirty
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable dealing with CFO, owners and investors
