We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to manage the end-to-end payroll process for our studios in Adelaide and Brisbane.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within a creative industry, where your skills will directly contribute to the smooth financial operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including final pay calculations and issuing relevant documentation.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from staff and management promptly and professionally.
- Maintain payroll records, filing, and archiving in accordance with compliance standards.
- Handle payroll compliance tasks
- Interpret relevant legislation and awards
- Support internal and external audits with accurate payroll reporting.
- Assist the finance team with general accounting duties.
- Provide support to the accounts payable function.
- Perform other ad hoc payroll tasks as required.
About You
- Experience in a similar payroll role, with a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing.
- Exposure to environments requiring a high attention to detail, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- An ability to manage and prioritise complex queries with clarity and urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including using existing templates.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience with award interpretation and compliance.
