The Opportunity

Catholic Education South Australia is seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Lead to join our growing Communications & Marketing team. This is an exciting time to be part of a team that is expanding its reach and impact across the state. In this exciting permanent role, you will have the opportunity to shape CESA's communications strategy, develop impactful content, and work with a diverse range of stakeholders across our schools and beyond. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact in the education sector and contribute to the ongoing success of CESA's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of CESA's integrated communications and marketing strategy.
  • Coordinate the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of communications plans for strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Research, write, and edit content for a range of publications, including reports, briefings, new stories and digital platforms.
  • Identify and build positive public relations opportunities, managing media relations and stakeholder communications.
  • Support key CESA campaigns, including Catholic Schools Open Week and Catholic Education Week, ensuring effective delivery and engagement.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in communications, public relations, or journalism, with a strong track record of successfully managing and executing communication strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, balancing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience with digital content management and social media strategy; knowledge of SharePoint is desirable.
