We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Casual Maternal & Child Health Nurse to deliver the Universal Maternal and Child Health Service to the families of Banyule practising within the MCH program standards and practice guidelines.
This is a role for a nurse who is passionate about evidence-based practice, family-centred care, and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with the MCH and Immunisation Coordinator and Team Leaders to deliver a responsive, inclusive, and high-performing service that meets the diverse needs of our community.

What you'll do:
- Provide universal MCH service to families in Banyule
- Provide leave coverage for permanent staff across a variety of MCH centers within Banyule
- Promote healthy outcomes for children and families in Banyule
About you:
You are a skilled and passionate Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you'll be AHPRA registered, and you're deeply committed to family-centred care and understand how high-quality MCH services positively shape a child's early development.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, are solutions-focused, and bring a proactive approach. Most importantly, you're driven by the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others. You also have:
- Registration as a General Division 1 Nurse & Midwife with AHPRA
- A post graduate qualification in Family and Child Health Nursing
- Ability to work independently, and within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal & Child Health
- Aware of child and family health issues, normal child development, family dynamics and promotion of maternal well being
- High levels of written and oral communication skills
- Conversant with relevant health promotion issues
Mandatory Pre-employment checks:
- Functional Capacity Assessment
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).
- Working with Children's Check
- Driver's License
- Registration as a General Nurse and Midwife with current practising certificate from APHRA
- CPR and First Aid Certificate
We offer:
- Flexibility to fit work around your other commitments, working on a casual basis across Banyule's MCH centres.
- $63.70 to $66.64 per hour (depending on experience), plus qualification allowance, plus casual loading, plus super.
