About the role
We're looking for a skilled Production Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role responsible for short-term production strategy (0-5 years), with a direct focus on drawdown management and improving the lifecycle cost to operate our gas wells.
You'll be responsible overseeing the application of subsurface expertise to safely deliver an optimisation and artificial lift strategy across Integrated Gas. This pivotal role is accountable for the workover budget (supporting activity for up to 6 major service workover rigs), surface pressure debottlenecking, and production surveillance to maximise value across more than 1500 operating wells and multiple CSG fields.

Lead the short-term (0-5 years) production optimisation strategy to maximise asset value.
Develop and manage the Asset Short Term Production Plan (STPP) and the annual workover budget.
Accountable for subsurface facility reliability and availability, including well integrity and workover programs.
Drive continuous improvement by analysing failures, capturing learnings, and trialling new approaches.
Identify, assess, and execute production uplift opportunities, preparing business cases for approval.
Monitor industry for new production optimisation technologies to create long-term value.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency.
Engage, coach, and develop team members to build a high-performing team environment.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build and hold a team accountable.
Extensive oil and gas industry experience, with a deep knowledge of operations and engineering.
Proven track record in production engineering and optimising well production to minimise supply losses.
Strong strategic management and planning experience within an operating asset environment.
Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills to build effective stakeholder relationships.
Resilient and agile, with the ability to problem-solve under pressure and navigate competing priorities.
A degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Process, Mechanical, Petroleum).
Sound understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices.
