Field-Based Sales & Estimating

·       Engage with clients to understand their needs & provide product recommendations.

·       Represent Solatube professionally, maintaining high standards of customer service.

·       Conduct on-site assessments of residential & commercial properties to evaluate installation feasibility.

·       Measure & document site conditions to inform accurate quotations.

Office-Based Quotation & Sales Support

·       Support the sales pipeline by managing inbound leads & coordinating with installers.

·       Liaise with clients via phone, email & CRM to follow up on quotes & convert leads.

·       Prepare & submit quotations based on site assessments & client specifications.

·       Assist in preparing proposals for builders, roofers & commercial clients.

Customer Relationship Management

·       Maintain accurate records of client interactions, site visits & quotation outcomes.

·       Provide product information, pricing & technical support as needed.

·       Resolve customer queries & concerns promptly & professionally.

Sales Administration

·       Track & report sales performance, e.g. lead conversion rates.

·       Ad-hoc administrative support as required by fellow team members.

·       Ensure compliance with procedures, safety standards & reporting requirements.

·       Collaborate with the Office Manager to refine sales processes & improve efficiency.

Competencies & Skills

  • Valid driver's licence for travelling to site visits.
  • Willing & able to climb into roof cavities & onto rooftops.
  • Professional phone manner with a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills (oral & written).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise & focus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with CRM/database experience desirable.
  • Experience in home improvement, building, or skylight industry essential
  • Team-oriented with the ability to build relationships internally & externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships & convert leads into sales.
  • Previous experience in sales estimating, quoting, or field-based customer service.

Work Environment

  • Combined field & office role with regular travel for site assessments & office work.
  • Use of company vehicle or reimbursement for travel expenses as per policy.
  • Tools & training provided to support accurate quoting & client engagement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

·       Site assessments completed per week.

·       Customer satisfaction ratings & feedback.

·       Lead conversion rate from quotation to sale.

·       Response time to client enquiries & follow-ups.

·       Accuracy & timeliness of quotations submitted.

·       Compliance with safety & reporting procedures.
