Job description

An opportunity exists for an experienced Valve Sales Representative to join our sales team. In this role, you will be our Northern NSW representative, responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing clients, with a strong focus on expanding DME's client base and driving sales growth.

This position offers flexible working conditions by agreement. We require visits to our Sydney office one day per week (minimum) and our Tumut office two days per month for meetings, reporting, and training. This schedule is flexible and can be adjusted based on the successful candidate's needs and operational requirements.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage a sales territory by conducting face-to-face customer appointments, building strong relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities.


Key responsibilities

  • Business growth and development of new client relationships
  • Sales calls
  • Responding to customer enquiries, providing technical support and managing quotations
  • End to end order management and co-ordination
  • Liaising with stakeholders and existing sales team

About DME

DME Engineering Services is the trusted NSW distributor for all Valmet valve products. Based in Tumut, we deliver valving solutions across all industries including pulp and paper, oil & gas, water treatment, mining & power generation. Our experience spans valve sales, technical support, after sales service & repairs.

  • An understanding of technical valve and actuation products and the ability to clearly communicate their value
  • A background in valve sales or flow control
