About us:

We are a team of Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons consulting and operating out of Perth and Darwin.

We seek an experienced and highly motivated Senior Medical Receptionist to join our team at West Perth. As our practice is growing progressively, we are looking for an individual who would love to be a part of our practice journey and be able to contribute and strengthen our team with your high standard of performance.

  • 4 days a week (7:30 am to 5:30 pm) or 5 days a week (7:30 am to 3:30 pm). No weekend.
  • Private parking is provided.
  • Start immediately for training, or January 2025 starts.
  • Excellent conditions and above market remuneration for the right candidate.

The duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide excellent patient care and focus.
  • Answer the telephone and manage enquiries with excellent manners and efficiency.
  • Check and respond to emails, enquiries and messages.
  • Handling referrals from patients.
  • Provide effective and efficient support to doctors to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
  • Manage patient booking/ quoting for consultations.
  • Liaise with anesthetists, assisting doctors, medical representatives, nurses, and hospitals to ensure the clinic is well-managed and coordinated.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure patients are well-informed of booking/billing information.
  • Explain billing policies, quote and collect fees.
  • Maintenance of patient records and all administrative aspects of patients.
  • Stock management.
  • Assist all staff/ practice manager when needed.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Receptionist in a medical practice is a must.
  • Empathetic and kind nature.
  • Punctual and robust work ethic.
  • 'Can do' attitude who is highly organised, and prides themselves on their attention to detail.
  • The ability to be flexible, work and liaise effectively with other team members.
  • Knowledge of Genie is preferred but not essential.
  • Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
