DWS are seeking an experienced L2 Service Desk Engineerto join out national internal IT function.
We are looking for someone with approximately2+ years of L2 Service Desk experience - with a focus on security, recovery, server maintenance, and user endpoints across both Windows and Mac.
You'll need to be very self-motivated and keen work in a fast paced, stimulating, and challenging corporate environment. With strong organisational skills and an extremely high focus on providing outstanding customer service, you will be helping to support our employees nationally – working in a small but dedicated internal IT team.
Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency (PR), or other permanent work rights – DWS are unable to sponsor or support visas
Start: ASAP / Immediately
Location: Melbourne CBD
Style: Hybrid; approx. 2-3 days a week in the CBD office + work from home (WFH)
Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: up to $88K package (including super), depending on experience
Duties will include:
- Resolving Level 2 issues
- Manage and maintain Azure virtual servers
- Backup and Replication / Disaster Recovery
- Patch Management
- Security Incident Review and Remediation
- Addressing more complex needs in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID [formerly Azure Active Directory] including SSO
- Escalating to third line support (L3) as required
- Other tasks as allocated by General Manager of IT or Executive team
Ideal Applicant:
- Degree in IT or equivalent professional experience
- Approximately 2+ years of L2 Service Desk experience
- Some L3 exposure would be great, but is not required
- Knowledge of various Windows + Mac desktop and server platforms, Microsoft 365 Enterprise, Microsoft Entra ID, Teams(including teams rooms & teams calling)
- A combination of experience across; CyberArk, Symantec, Palo Alto, Manage Engine / Jamf, Unifi Ubiquiti
- Preferably experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Intuneand Networking (Firewall, Routers, switches VPN technologies)
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- A very customer service focused 'Can Do' attitude
- The ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine passion for IT support
