About the role

Our client is seeking a contractor to join their Townsville team as a Building & Pest Inspector. You'll primarily conduct pre-purchase inspections, identifying defects, assessing compliance, and preparing clear reports that ensure safe and compliant property transactions.

Duties

  • Identify structural defects, compliance issues & safety risks
  • Carry out pre-purchase inspections (majority of workload)
  • Produce clear and actionable inspection reports
  • Inspect subfloors, roof cavities & external roofing areas
  • Liaise with clients and provide professional advice

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in building and/or pest inspections
  • QLD Builder's Licence + Registered Building Inspectors Course (or eligibility)
  • Certified in Timber Pest Management (CPPUPM3008 & CPPUPM3010) — or willingness to enrol
  • Strong attention to detail & professional reporting skills
  • Police clearance, valid driver's licence & reliable vehicle
