The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This internally based position will focus on wholesale activities, where you will be instrumental in driving growth and building strong relationships within the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive Growth: Create and execute effective sales plans, identifying new market opportunities. Nurture existing relationships to further develop long-term partnerships with trade customers.

Sales Revenue: Drive sales initiatives to expand our customer base and grow revenue from new and existing customers across our range of over 3,000 products..

Build Partnerships: Champion service delivery by developing genuine relationships with trade customers, consistently seeking solutions that exceed their expectations.

Order Management: Efficiently process customer orders whether by email or phone, including entering product details into our inventory systems and using our online ordering system.

Product Promotion: Provide customers with up-to-date information on new products, and provide the marketing team with insights toward the development of promotional materials.

Timely Communication: Respond promptly to customer inquiries and maintain high call throughput and follow-ups.

Pricing Strategy: Maintain an ongoing understanding of the business' products and pricing to ensure the product range and pricing are relevant in wholesale, trade, and retail markets. This includes conducting regular price checks to ensure competitive pricing.

Internal Collaboration: Act as a liaison between key customers and our product, warehousing, and marketing teams to ensure continuity of product and service. Work with the product team to continuously review current product ranges, ensuring we're carrying active products to support key customers.
Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in outbound sales and customer service.

A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively.

Exceptional time management and organisational skills.

Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication.

A personal interest and passion for cars is a must.

A professional background in the sale of automotive parts and accessories is highly desirable.

A mechanical/technical background would be favourably regarded.

Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with inventory control systems.
