About the role

We are seeking an experienced full-time Manager with butcher experience to join our team at Superior Meats on Addison' in Shellharbour, NSW. As our Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our butchery and ensuring our high standards of quality and customer service are maintained.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the butchery, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service
  2. Oversee the preparation, cutting, and packaging of meat products to meet customer orders and ensure product quality
  3. Train and supervise the butchery team, providing guidance and feedback to ensure optimal performance
  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  5. Foster a positive and customer-focused work environment
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Substantial experience as a butcher, with a deep understanding of meat cutting, handling, and processing
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of butcher experience required
  3. Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  4. Team leader experience is required for this management position
  5. Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing a high-quality customer experience
  6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  8. A passion for the meat industry and a commitment to food safety and quality
  9. Australian permanent residency is required for this position
  10. Both retail and wholesale butcher experience is required
