After beginning as a food truck, Low & Slow American BBQ opened as a bricks and mortar venue in 2015, now an iconic destination restaurant in the heart of the historical and thriving Port Adelaide precinct.

South Australia's finest American BBQ restaurant, Low & Slow prides itself on serving high quality Texas style barbecue. Better than any other venue in Adelaide (brisket, ribs and sausage are king) in a buzzing atmosphere, with an excellent drinks offering including some of America's best whiskeys, cocktails and beer, and some really great music.

Giving exceptional customer service and allowing patrons to enjoy a unique dining experience is our number one goal.

In recent years we have extended our offering to the retail market with our signature barbecue rubs and sauces found on the shelves on Foodland supermarkets, butchers and cafe providores.

Proven experience in a similar kitchen role necessary.

Experience in American barbecue cuisine not necessary, but a competitive advantage. (training provided)

  • Small and established team over a 5 day roster.
  • Supportive structure, working under head and second Chefs
  • No super late finishes or crazy long work weeks.
  • Ample time for prep / quality assurance
  • Short, sharp and shiny services.
  • Positive and inclusive staff culture, enjoyable working environment.
  • Learn and hone your skills in the art of smoking meats working with a unique menu.
  • Master new skills and Low & Slow American BBQ processes, e.g. sausage making, cold smoking.
  • Ability and drive to deliver consistency of high quality product with an eye for detail and presentation.
  • Maintain standards and established reputation.
  • Reporting between Head chef and Restaurant Manager.
  • Be an ambassador for a much loved venue in a both historic and evolving suburb.
  • Excellent brand reputation.
