Payroll Accountant

  • 6 Month contract to support Payroll GLs, Intercompany Journals, Superannuation and Tax

Role summary

A contract opportunity within the finance function focused on payroll accounting and related financial operations. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys working in a complex, fast-paced environment.

About the role

  • Managing payroll-related general ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Preparing and processing intercompany journals
  • Ensuring timely and compliant payroll tax and superannuation payments
  • Overseeing vendor payments related to payroll activities
  • Supporting period-end processes and reporting
  • Helping streamline payroll-related processes and documentation

Skills & experience

  • Solid payroll accounting experience — from GLs to tax and compliance
  • Confidence working with high-volume data and multiple systems
  • An understanding of superannuation, payroll tax and intercompany accounting
  • Experience in FMCG, large corporate, or fast-paced environments
  • A collaborative approach and strong attention to detail
