The Drug and Alcohol Intake Clinician will primarily operate the district Intake and Referral Helpline and provide a daily drop-in service at the Illawarra Drug and Alcohol Service. The position will provide a welcoming and engaging environment to consumers and/or their families who are often seeking support for the first time. The position will provide high quality care ensuring the provision of evidence based interventions and optimal health outcomes consistent with ISLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. This position is part of the Intake Team based at the Illawarra Drug and Alcohol Service.

- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 12 April 2026 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
