Company Details: Vicom Australia Pty Ltd, based in Oakleigh South, is a leading supplier of electronic test and measurement instrumentation to the Government and Industry within Australia.
We are currently seeking new staff to join our NATA accredited 'Electronic Standards Laboratory' in Oakleigh South. Ideally, we are looking for a recently graduated student with an electronics or telecommunications qualification. You will be trained in the calibration and repair of electronic test equipment used in the RF, Data, Optical, and Avionics sector.
This is an exciting job for someone to start their career in Test and Measurement in Electronics - Radio and Microwave Frequency as a RF Calibration Engineer (trainee).
Role and Responsibility:
- Perform repair and/or calibration of RF electronic test equipment such as RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analysers, Microwave Analysers, Communication Test Sets, Avionics test equipment, and RF Power Meters. These products operate at frequencies up to 40GHz.
- Work under supervision to achieve daily targets
- Perform documentation of library and calibration records
In your Cover Letter, you must fulfill the following selection criteria:
- Recently completed, or due to complete this year, a degree or diploma in Electronics, and specifically outlining any Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge
- Candidates must demonstrate basic theoretical knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) principles and concepts
- Practical know-how in troubleshooting electronic hardware and software
- Practical troubleshooting experience should include university laboratory work with electronic hardware and software
- Intermediate level of using Microsoft Excel or any other office products
Graduates in the last year of university or recently passed out are encouraged to apply.
