**Phase 1 contain**:
**LAN Assessment**

In that activity engineer needs to go onsite and do the site survey including writing down info about all devices and cables located in server/networking rooms, roughly sketch each room, do the pictures of the rooms and devices and others described in details below.

In this Work Package Supplier will:
Review the provided prerequisite information.
- Brief the assigned Cable Installer to Assess rack space, rack layout, distribution panels,

Discuss the migration to Wireless First and Client’s discovery of redundant cabling.

Discuss with the Client and the Cable Installer design alternatives reviewing
- The impact on cabling costs.

Fill in the Site Inventory Template

In this Work Package Supplier will produce the following deliverables:
As-Is report:

- Network devices
- Two photographs of each switch in the rack - front and back
- Patching details of each switch: uplinks, stacking cables
- Structured Cabling plan from Cable installer:

- Drawings of existing structured cabling.
- List of the amount of free structured cabling between MDF (main equipment room) and IDFs (satellite equipment room)
- Report of the remaining fibre and copper cabling targeted for reuse including cabling specifications (e.g. length attenuation, labelling, routing, patch positions).
- IDFs:

- Floor plans with locations of IDFs and MDFs including the names of the IDFs and MDFs and the switches.
- Report of available rack space in IDFs and MDFs including power distribution panels.
- High Level Site Migration Plan:

- Proposal for site migration

**Validation of WLAN Predictive site survey**

In that activity engineer checks if the intended Access Point can be mounted in the location pointed out by HPE. F.e. if there are no obstacles in that location.

Sketching additional walls on the floor plan (hand sketch is enough) would be necessary in case floor plan is outdated. More details described below.

In this Work Package Supplier will:

- Validate the predictive site survey by looking at the intended AP positions and, where necessary, perform additional measurements to guarantee coverage in accordance with the defined parameters.
- Update the WLAN site survey report and the BOM if changes are made
- Review interior building construction materials (e.g. brick wall, plasterboard wall, glass wall/door, glass/metal door etc.).
- Review utility service rooms that house mechanical and electrical equipment and any high-voltage devices emitting electromagnetic fields.
- Review moving and non-moving obstacles that can affect radio frequency (RF) propagation and performance.
- Review specific wireless usage of areas, e.g. training/meeting room, auditorium, lab, and restaurant.
- Review potential AP mounting positions.
- Review non-office environments with explosive atmosphere zones requiring ATEX (intrinsically safe) equipment.
- Discuss and review any AS-IS wireless coverage issues.

In this Work Package Supplier will produce the following deliverables:

- Updated Predictive AP Placement Report that will include the predicted quantity, placement, and associated wireless coverage areas for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.
- Updated Aruba Bill of Materials for the wireless network

**Phase 2 contain**:
Staging/Labeling:

- Stage the switches/Gateways and label them. Downloading the right software version and the configuration from Aruba Central.
- Hand over the switches to the local cable installer. The local cable installer will rack and stack the switches in the MDF/IDF rooms.

LAN Migration:

- Migrate the network to the To-Be as documented in the site specific design.
- Validate the migration.
- Perform troubleshooting if needed.
- Coordinate local rollback in case of unsuccessful migration. Handover management of the network to the Aruba NOC upon successful validation of the migration.

Within this Work Package the Supplier will produce the following Deliverables:

- Overview of results of the FAT tests of the new network - as per test plan.

WLAN Migration:

- Supervise the local on-site cable installer team.
- Validate the migration.
- Perform troubleshooting if needed.
- Coordinate local rollback in case of unsuccessful migration. Handover management of the network to the Aruba NOC upon successful validation of the migration.

Within this Work Package the Supplier will produce the following Deliverables:

- Overview of results of the FAT tests of the new network - as per test plan.
