Primary objective

Oversee and prioritise grant programs, operational staff and activities of the Grants Delivery and System unit, while assisting other

divisions and other government agencies on the operational implementation of new grants and program initiatives.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Lead operational grants administration team to provide support and services to internal and external clients; undertake quality

assurance on the management, development and implementation of grants across the department to ensure full compliance

with agency policies and NT Government policy.

  1. Assist in the research, review and development of grant policies and procedures to ensure whole of agency grant decision-

    making practices are contemporary and effective.

  2. With a focus on best practice, work collaboratively with internal clients and provide support to senior management to deliver

effective grant outcomes.

  1. Undertake research, analyse and compile data for senior management, when required to inform strategic planning
  2. Provide advice and guidance to the Grants Delivery and Systems unit on best practice grants management aligning with agency's

grant policy and NT Government grant policy.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Well-developed oral and written communication skills and ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders and provide client-

centric services.

  1. Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically with high-level project and change management skills and the ability to

manage competing priorities effectively while under pressure.

3. Demonstrated experience in delivering projects to completion, to a high quality and on time.

4. Proven experience to respond to challenging situations and circumstances constructively; is solution focussed towards a

mutually satisfactory outcome for all parties.

5. Proven experience in providing timely high-level advice and direction regarding policy and contracts.

  1. Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all levels while demonstrating teamwork, integrity, impartiality and

fairness.
