Savage Industries is a rapidly growing, local family-owned company based in Mackay. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Workforce Scheduler, who will embrace the challenges and fast paced nature of our industry and continue to grow with us.

The Role:

As the Workforce Scheduler, you will play a key role in the day to day administrative and scheduling functions of the business. Due to the nature of this role, applicants need to possess a knowledgeable background in administration, and have an understanding of the mining industry including training requirements for workers, would be beneficial.

To be successful in the role, the right applicant will be pro-active, able to work autonomously and cooperatively with a close-knit operations team, be excellent at time management, and possess great attention to detail.

This position would suit a candidate seeking permanent full-time work, consisting of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for an immediate start.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete scheduling of personnel for all work scopes and client engagements
  • Manage and complete accommodation bookings for all personnel
  • Assist in site readiness of new and existing personnel
  • Regularly Engage with Clients, Staff and Stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit Quoting, per incoming work requests
  • Assist in weekly payroll processes including the management of Employee timesheets
  • Assist Management in the recruitment process of new personnel.
  • Assist in the preparation and submissions of CMS documentation and attendance of regular CMS meetings with Clients
  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders for Internal Company purchases
  • Assistance in the coordination of incident reporting documentation
  • Regular filing Review and assist in managing the distribution of Company Safety Policies and Procedures, and implement these where necessary
  • General administration tasks to ensure efficient operations
  • Undertake on-call duties and support on a rotating roster, as required

Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to meet deadlines
  • Be 100% flexible by assisting the operations team where required
  • Ability to work co-operatively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Continuously seeking to identify improvement opportunities to advance current processes

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Experience working in the Mining Industry
  • Computer literate, with Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience with Xero, SprintSuite and specific mine site Software's is highly regarded
  • Drivers Licence
