Position Overview JOB DESCRIPTIONThe HSQE Senior Advisor is responsible for leading and guiding a small team of HSQE Advisors in managing, coordinating, and controlling Health Safety Quality Environment (HSQE) obligations.
This includes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accreditations, standards, management system requirements and contractual obligations across the portfolio of responsibility.
The role includes the maintaining of HSQE systems and data recording, while assisting the Sites with compliance to Civeo's HSQE Management System (Integrated Management System IMS) and further developing a positive people-based safety culture.
The role requires strong support to and from the GM HSQE, Operations Managers, Village Managers and other key stakeholders.
This is a DIDO or FIFO role, based in the Bowen Basin, with a work schedule of 8 days on, 6 days off with frequent travel to our Queensland Villages in the Bowen Basin as well as occasional travel to NSW Villages.
This will ideally suit candidates based in the Mackay and Fitzroy regions or FIFO from Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities Team leadership: manage a small team of HSQE Advisors in the Bowen Basin including allocating tasks, coaching, setting KPIs and monitoring resources and performance.
Implement and maintain HSQE systems and processes on-site in our remote Accommodation Villages Support Operations: Collaborate with Operations Managers in conducting safe operations and implementing the safety management system Develop Campaigns: Drive HSQE campaigns and injury prevention initiatives targeting key risk areas Client Collaboration: Partner with Operations Managers to address client needs and expectations Safety Plans: Develop, implement, and monitor safety plans, ensuring timely and accurate reporting Risk Management: Conduct risk management processes to aid effective decision-making and safe operations Incident Investigations: Facilitate accident/incident investigations and maintain records and statistics Skills And Qualifications Certificate IV or equivalent in Workplace Health & Safety Experience in a HSQE Advisor or similar role Experience with people management In-depth understanding of WHS legislation Understanding of Quality ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and Environment 14001 Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to build and maintain positive work relationships Proven track record of successful implementation of initiatives or improvements with frontline workforce Advanced computer, numeracy, and literacy skills Ability to ensure accuracy of data entry, data analysis, reporting and recording Personal standards of confidentiality, honesty and integrity Current Driver's License Other Desirable Qualifications Include Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety Lead Auditor Risk Management Cert IV Training & Assessment ICAM Lead Investigator Experience in workforce accommodation or similar industry (desirable)About Us Civeo Australia, a division of Civeo Corporation, provides workforce accommodation services globally.
