ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Claims Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in managing the administration of life insurance claims - including Death, TPD, Terminal Illness, and Income Protection. Working closely with Claims Assessors and stakeholders such as brokers, super funds, and clients, you'll ensure claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and with care. Your work will directly support claimants at a critical time, while contributing to operational excellence and process improvement across the team.

*DUTIES*
- Review and interpret policy information to determine claim eligibility
- Record claim details accurately in internal systems
- Request medical reports and arrange appointments as required
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to obtain outstanding documentation
- Process claim payments and ensure accuracy of calculations and correspondence
- Assess and pay Death & Funeral claims within delegated authority
- Collate documentation for file requests and complete administration duties
- Identify risks, compliance issues, and contribute to process improvements
- Support in-house funeral bordereaux and other direct claims
*SKILLS & EXPERIENCE*
- Experience in life insurance claims administration and processing payments
- Technical knowledge of policy application and claims handling
- Familiarity with the Life Insurance Code of Practice and AFSL obligations
- Strong organisation, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise effectively
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
