Role Description

This is a full-time position (either 4 or 5 days per week, you choose) for a
5 year PQE+
Associate / Senior Associate based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility to work (partly) from home. The role involves advising clients on technology and telecommunications law, drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing legal risks and navigating dispute resolution matters. This position will require collaboration with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver effective, tailored legal solutions.

Choose to work 4 or 5 days per week

The role is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) but we are open to candidates who want to work longer hours Monday - Thursday in exchange for having Fridays off.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing and negotiating technology, IP and telecommunications contracts
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, data protection, and privacy laws relevant to the technology and telecommunications sectors
  • Experience in dispute resolution
  • Highly developed legal research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Admitted to practice law in Australia, and holding a valid practicing certificate
  • Experience in technology or telecommunications law, and an interest in emerging technologies
  • Previous experience in a similar role or with a law firm specialising in technology law is advantageous
