- Coordinate daily scheduling across sales, factory, admin, and contractors to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor production progress and resolve delays or bottlenecks proactively
- Manage inventory and raw material orders to meet production demands and seasonal shifts
- Conduct and report monthly stocktakes with Plant Managers
- Schedule contractor applicator teams based on logistics, grower timing, and weather
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of contractor reports and invoices
- Oversee and train staff on operational systems like TidyStock and ensure correct usage
- Act as the first point of contact for job-related customer or contractor queries
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational systems and procedures
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in production scheduling, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, or service coordination
- Understanding of North Queensland cane industry and seasonal challenges
- Strong skills in scheduling, project lifecycle management, and risk mitigation
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn systems like TidyStock (Xero)
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
- Customer service orientation and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Ability to manage own time and coordinate others effectively
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, manufacturing, or project management
- Must be willing to travel to the Ingham branch when required, with all expenses covered
What you'll get in return
If successful, you'll join our renowned client in a permanent role averaging 38 hours per week. You'll coordinate production across teams in Mackay and Ingham, with travel expenses fully covered when required. During peak season (Aug–Dec), longer hours may be needed, with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) available. A competitive salary is on offer, based on experience. Strong computer skills are essential, and steel-capped boots are required for factory work.What you need to do now
