Guardsman Self Storage has been in operation since 1984. With 775 Storage units, including a temperature-controlled zone, it is the premier single site storage business in WA.
We are seeking an office administrator/customer service officer on a part time basis at our self storage facility in Myaree. The right candidate will be employed to support the day to day operations of the site.
Working in a small team at a family owned business, we pride ourselves on a customer focused approach and exceeding our clients' expectations.
We want you to bring your friendly personable attitude, client orientated thinking, and keen attention to detail to the role.
Consistent hours and shifts will be allocated with extra hours required for backup coverage for staff on annual/sick leave.
General operational hours at the facillity are Monday- Fridays 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm.
Required range of working hours between 10-15hrs/week however, this may increase to help to cover shifts whilst offering flexibility for the right candidate.
You must be available for one or two Saturdays a month (9:00am-3:00pm)
The position will include, but not be limited to the following tasks:
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times
- Answering all enquiries via various platforms
- Identify potential leads and convert to a sale
- Data entry into our Storman Software System
- Tracking stock levels
- Maintain a neat and tidy facility
- Reporting to the Store Manager
- Moving wine deliveries into client spaces
- Cleaning storage units that are empty
- If you are experienced in marketing or socials you can provide assistance in these areas, but they are not essential to the job role
Essential Criteria:
We're looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role relating to retail, storage, admin or small business with excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- You must have a strong ability to work autonomously, part of a team and consistently complete tasks set
- Motivated and with a positive and can-do attitude
- The ability to follow instruction but also problem solve if the need ever arises, with full support of Management
- Available to work 10-15 hours across Monday-Saturday
- Minimum one-two Saturday's a month
- The ability to work extra shifts to cover sick leave and annual leave of other team members
