
Business Development Manager – Fire and IoT Solutions

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our close-knit team as a Business Development Manager. This is a new position in our organisation, and we are eager to invest in the right candidate. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to travel and work directly with clients in a fast-paced environment while receiving management support and technical mentorship from our team.
We're specifically looking for someone who can make this role their own, engaging in meaningful conversations at all levels, creating new business opportunities, and taking initiative, all while being comfortable in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create appointments with high end decision makers with new and existing clients
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities related to fire safety, mining, and construction sectors
- Prepare tailored proposals, quotes, and tender responses for corporate and government clients.
- Be the first point of contact for solution opportunities and project assessments
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Attend conferences, seminars and exhibitions on behalf of the organisation
- Work collaboratively within a progressive team
- Maintain accurate pipeline and sales forecasts through CRM reporting.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Report directly to the CEO providing sales reports

You'll be a great fit if you:
· Have previous experience in the Fire Engineering or Life Safety Systems industries (Mining/Oil & Gas also highly regarded)
· Are experienced with government or large corporate procurement/tender processes
· Are enthusiastic about sales and customer service and want to advance your sales experience
· Can show a strong technical acumen
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
· Possess strong negotiating abilities to achieve targets and increase sales
· Have an innovative mindset and a passion for learning and growth
· Demonstrate the drive to achieve outcomes
· Are highly organized and solution focused
· Can travel nationally and internationally
