Role Description

The IoT Product Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Internet of Things (IoT) devices and solutions that integrate hardware, firmware, and cloud platforms. This role will focus on building a
multi-sensor data logging and live database integration device
, from concept through to prototype, testing, and deployment. The IoT Product Specialist will bridge the gap between electronics engineering, software development, and product management to deliver scalable and secure IoT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Prototype
    IoT devices integrating sensors, microcontrollers, storage, GNSS, and wireless connectivity.
  • Develop Firmware
    for sensor data acquisition, timestamping, local storage, and secure transmission.
  • Integrate Systems
    with cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and dashboards.
  • Test & Validate
    prototypes to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Document & Support
    schematics, workflows, and technical guides.
  • Research & Innovate
    with new IoT technologies and communication protocols.
  • Collaborate
    across teams to deliver successful deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years experience in IoT product design, embedded systems, or hardware prototyping.
  • Proficiency in
    MCU platforms
    (ESP32, STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
  • Strong experience with
    sensors
    (I²C, SPI, UART, analog) and interfacing hardware.
  • Familiarity with
    cloud IoT platforms
    (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Google IoT, etc.).
  • Knowledge of
    databases
    (SQL, NoSQL, time-series) and APIs.
  • Experience with
    electronics schematics and PCB design tools
    (KiCad, Altium, Eagle).
  • Understanding of
    networking protocols
    (MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP, BLE, LoRa, NB-IoT).
