About Us

My Mind Check is a free, evidence-based tool that empowers schools to proactively identify and address student mental health and wellbeing concerns early. Based on its years of research into youth mental health, Macquarie University was appointed to develop an online check-in tool on behalf of the Federal Department of Education halfway through 2023. The first schools commenced using the tool, known as My Mind Check, in late 2024.

My Mind Check is now looking to expand implementation and drive uptake at scale, requiring increased stakeholder engagement with an understanding of motivations, barriers and facilitators. • Highly developed empathy to understand the needs and concerns of identified community groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport.
  • Ability to think strategically to align engagement efforts with organisational goals.
  • Problem solving skills, addressing challenges and conflicts constructively.
  • Superior organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively and autonomously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.

Desired Criteria:

  • Experience working on projects in the Education, Mental Health and/or Government sector is highly desirable.
