In this senior leadership role, you'll manage and grow our multi-disciplinary engineering team, driving project success from concept through to delivery. You'll play a key role in shaping MCA's technical capability, ensuring we deliver high-quality, on-budget, on-time outcomes across a wide range of national projects.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers across multiple disciplines


• Oversee engineering projects from planning through to completion


• Develop and improve engineering processes, standards, and documentation


• Review and approve drawings, designs, and technical outputs


• Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors across engineering workloads


• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards


• Support quoting, tenders, and technical proposals


• Manage budgets, schedules, and change control


• Lead risk reviews and ensure compliance with Australian Standards

About You:

You're a confident engineering leader with a hands-on, solutions-driven mindset. You know how to get the best from your team, and you're equally comfortable getting into the technical detail as you are in front of clients or executives.


• Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering


• CPEng or RPEQ preferred (or working towards)


• 10+ years in mining, heavy industrial, or construction engineering


• Proven leadership and people management skills


• Deep knowledge of structural steel, concrete, and mechanical systems


• Experience reviewing detailed engineering drawings and 3D models (AutoCAD/Inventor)


• Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and regulations


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
